President

Lisa Andujar, MBA

Lisa Andujar’s career has seamlessly woven through the sectors of corporate marketing, philanthropy, and higher education.  In her current role as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Lisa is a leader committed to fostering inclusive environments through the development, execution and advancement of the DEI priorities of CBS. Lisa spearheads strategic initiatives to cultivate an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity in all its forms within the CBS community.

In her prior role as Administrative Director for the Management Division at Columbia Business School, Lisa played a pivotal role in shaping administrative policies, fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, and implementing initiatives that promoted organizational excellence. Her leadership was characterized by a commitment to fairness, transparency, and the empowerment of individuals within the division and the academic community.

 

Formerly, Lisa worked in Corporate America where she developed marketing campaigns in the telecommunications industry at AT&T Corp.  Motivated by a desire to make a meaningful impact on society, Lisa made a purposeful transition to the non-profit sector, taking on the role of Director of Development at the American Cancer Society. In this capacity, she spearheaded fundraising initiatives that played a crucial role in advancing cancer research, patient support programs, and public awareness campaigns.Lisa Andujar earned a B.S. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  She has been featured in Essence Magazine and in Good Housekeeping.  She has completed the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion certification at Cornell University and the Senior Leaders Program for Nonprofit Professionals at Columbia Business School.  She resides in New York City and is the proud parent of a teenage daughter

Vice President

Ekua Ansah-Samuel, MPH, CLC, Doula

Ekua Ansah-Samuels has worked with a range of private providers and non-profit organizations as a health educator, program manager, program director serving a range of marginalized populations of women, youth , and families for over 20 years.


Ekua majored in Human Biology, Health and Society at the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University.  She then worked scheduling and coordinating care for the surgical patients of a large OB/GYN practice, while applying to graduate school.  Ekua continued her studies at The Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University.  The department of Sociomedical Sciences, trained her in program planning, implementation and evaluation on the Health Promotion Disease Prevention track.  This course of study, with its focus on the social determinants of health, offered tremendous versatility in the public health sector at a time when examining socio-economic and systemic root causes of disease and illness was emerging.  
Ekua spent much of her early career at Northern Manhattan Perinatal Partnership, Inc. (NMPP) in increasingly responsible roles from Health Educator in their Healthy Start program to Program Director of the organization’s Merck for Mothers-funded program, which provided Community Health Worker support and Doula care for clinically high-risk pregnant and parenting women.   She also co-coordinated oversight for NMPP’s city-wide Healthy Women Healthy Futures Initiative, building capacity for organizations in all 5 boroughs to better provide pre/interconception care and free doula care to women.  Her work over the years with NMPP and other organizations as an employee or consultant has included developing curricula and delivering health education for individuals and groups, training staff and providers, successfully writing grants, and ensuring projects and initiatives that are funded are executed effectively and efficiently. 


Currently, Ekua is the residency education program manager for Montefiore Medical Center’s Department of Social Medicine.  Here she works with both faculty and residents to develop and deliver non-clinical courses and educational activities for Primary Care Internal Medicine, Pediatric and Family Medicine residents in social medicine, health systems, health equity, and community engagement.

Secretary

Worokya Duncan, Ed.D

Dr. Worokya Duncan is a professional educator with 20 years of classroom experience, a Doctoral-level education, a great deal of energy, and a commitment to students. Over the course of her career, she has taught both elementary and middle school students in a variety of subjects, including United States History, Literacy, and Science. Her primary foci are Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. All people should feel respected and know that they are valued!  From workshops to institutes, to short talks at schools or business organizations.

Worokya informs, enlightens, and engages.  Her efforts undoubtedly extend beyond academics. She works hard to instill a sense of pride, community and motivates students to set higher standards. With everyone with whom she interacts, she takes time to connect with each one, demonstrating genuine sensitivity. Through an ongoing process of planning, delivering, reflecting, and refining lessons, she has been consistently successful at balancing individual needs with the federal, state, and local standards and assessments. Dr. Duncan holds degrees in Public Policy Studies, Political Science, Theology, and Education, specifically in Curriculum and Instruction. Given the combination of her competencies, she pursued research in Africentric curriculum in a quest to provide options in affecting true positive change in eliminating the race-based education achievement gap. Through professional development sessions, lectures, workshops, and seminars, Dr. Duncan illuminates the hidden and often ignored issues affecting education and educating people in the United States.

Treasurer

Sandra Alexander, FP&A

Sandra Alexander is a seasoned professional with over three decades of comprehensive experience at the intersection of technology and finance. Armed with a degree with Honors in Economics and a post graduate  qualification in technology she has a solid foundation in both fields brining a unique blend of analytical prowess and technological acumen to her endeavors .  Sandra has cultivated a diverse skill set that spans hedge fund administration, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and technological innovation.

Throughout Sandra’s career, she  has held various senior roles within a prominent financial institution, leveraging her expertise to drive strategic decision-making and optimize operational efficiency. She possesses a deep understanding of Hedge Fund Administration, having navigated complex regulatory landscapes and implemented cutting-edge technological solutions to streamline processes and enhance client satisfaction.

In addition to her extensive experience in finance, Sandra holds a coveted FP&A qualification, underscoring her proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. This blend of financial acumen and technological proficiency enables her to effectively interpret financial data, identify key trends, and provide actionable insights to drive business growth and profitability.

Sandra is renowned for her ability to foster collaboration across interdisciplinary teams, leveraging her leadership skills to inspire innovation and deliver results in dynamic environments. Her commitment to excellence, coupled with her relentless pursuit of knowledge, has solidified her reputation as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the field.

Currently, Sandra serves as a SEVP in the FP&A and CAO office, a pivotal role within her organization, spearheading initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and maximize returns for stakeholders. She remains at the forefront of technological advancements, continuously seeking out opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and data-driven insights to drive strategic decision-making and achieve sustainable growth.

Driven by a passion for innovation and a dedication to excellence, Sandra continues to make significant contributions to the intersection of technology and finance, shaping the future of the industry through her leadership, expertise, and unwavering commitment to success.

Development/Outreach

Brennan Rhodes-Bratton, DrPH, MPH

Dr. Brennan Rhodes-Bratton’s research aims to understand how societal structures, such as structural racism, gentrification, and food stigma, impede healthful eating attitudes, dispositions, and practices of mothers across the lifespan, which in turn influence cardiometabolic health outcomes of their children. Dr. Rhodes-Bratton approaches her work using theories and methods from sociology, epidemiology, nutrition, and urban studies. She has developed a theoretical framework of food health lifestyles (FLT) and food habits to examine how neighborhood change can influence health outcomes. FLT is used to inform and create effective health equity programs for communities of color most impacted by social forces responsible for inequity.
